Mommenpop BLOOD ORANGE is refreshing, rich, and vibrant. It is citrus-forward and juicy, as though biting straight into a perfectly ripe blood orange. This flavor is peppery and floral, with a subtle warmth. What you might want to drink while you have fresh tomato sauce simmering on the stove and Miles Davis on vinyl. Delicious pre-dinner while snacking on olives, during dinner with your favorite pasta dish, and after dinner with some salt-studded dark chocolate.

Mommenpop BLOOD ORANGE is made from organically-grown Barbera rosé grapes, blood oranges, and the following botanicals:

ORRIS ROOT // A fragrant and floral root used in many gin products.
VANILLA BEAN // Subtly sweet and fragrant, helps to bring out the natural sweetness of the blood orange.
CUBEB PEPPER // A pungent aroma with hints of allspice. Brings a subtle heat and a tinge of bitterness.

BLOOD ORANGES We source organic Tarocco and Sanguinelli blood oranges from Murray Family Farms here in California. The sweetest (and most popular) of the blood orange varieties, the Tarocco is balanced with tangy notes of raspberry. Blood oranges are prized for their ultra-juicy flesh and dappled, gorgeous coloring. We use a combined 5,000 pounds of blood and navel oranges to give Mommenpop its bright, refreshing flavor.
BARBERA ROSÉ We source Barbera rosé grapes from Mendocino, California to make the base wine for Mommenpop Blood Orange. The grapes have long hang times and are high in acidity, which gives them a citrus-like character - the perfect foundation for our citrus aperitifs. We make a floral, delicate style of Barbera rosé that plays a supporting role to the vibrant blood oranges.
